Bob Bailey
Principal

Bob Bailey’s experience and background is in advising Independent Schools throughout the country on their grounds, purchasing policies and recruitment issues throughout his career.

Bob has arranged either fully outsourced grounds management, benchmarking or solutions to staffing issues for many leading schools such as Wellington College, Benenden School, University of Reading and Gordon’s School. Bob leads the BGM management team, who each head up a regional team of grounds staff.

Billy Blackford
Grounds Manager

Billy Blackford, Deputy Head of Grounds at Benenden, began his career 15 years ago as a self-employed gardener.

His expertise spans various forms of gardening and grounds maintenance, progressing into sports turf maintenance.

Passionate about commercial grounds maintenance, his 8-year tenure at BGM showcases a commitment to delivering precise and caring services on a large scale.

Lee Keeler
Grounds Manager

Currently Head of Grounds and Gardens at Benenden School in Kent with 18 years School Grounds management experience.

Previously from an agricultural engineering and greenkeeping background and has great experience in Hard and Soft Landscaping.

Managing and leading a team in all aspects of groundsmanship.

Andrew Lewis
Grounds Manager

As well as offering technical advice on all aspects of sports surfaces, Andy manages the daily sports operations for a portfolio of schools receiving fully outsourced grounds management.

With a practical and down to earth approach, Andy has a rare ability to demystify groundsmanship.

Commencing his career as a groundsman at the Lensbury Club, Andy was head groundsman then Director of Grounds at Epsom College for ten years.
